ok, im in the process of returning a item on Ebuyer. A Computer power supply. Now i have given the order number product number etc. It now is asking for the reasons of return and for a serioal number????
the power supply only has a sticker on it with voltages. But the box has some numbers
which one, if any, is the serial number????

in this paragraph i wrote, i wrote about why nikola tesla should be the greatest american and i was wondering if you can help me put like a ending sentence to what makes him the greatest american. i can't think of anything that makes a catching ending sentence >.> THANKS
One of Tesla's greatest ambitions, was his determination to make electrical power equally available to everyone, especially those in poverty. Before Tesla, all motors ran on direct current only, and that gave Thomas Edison and his "d.c. only" system the edge. Then Tesla created the alternating current motor, giving a.c. the final edge it needed. A.c. was superior because of the easy transformation of voltages. A.c. could be generated remotely at very high voltages, then "stepped down" to accommodate local distribution and home use. In comparison, Edison's system depended on the generators being close to the users, and depended on very large conductors between the source and destination to avoid large power losses.

My project is demonstrating the right hand rule with the use of parallel and anti parallel currents through metal rods. Im using a car battery as a power source. (12V) BUt it doesnt work. Maybe its the low voltage... ANy ideas on how am I gonna make it work?

when purchasing a new in-dash receiver, how many rca pre outs/pre amp out puts do i need (excluding the subwoofer preamp out) to adequately/zealously operate my current system. which consists of:
2 infinity kappa perfect 6.1 components 6x9" - rear
2 infinity kappa cfp 462.7 2-way's 4x6"- front
one solo baric L7 15" subwoofer - biggidy bass.
one four channel infinity 754a 111x4 rms cea2006 amp- to speakers
one sony explode class D 1000watt max cea2006 amp (this will be the next thing i upgrade) - to sub
and i also plan on adding a pair of tweets at some point. so what do i need like 80 preamp out puts or rca pre ins or whatever, how many do i need? recommend a solid cd player. give me any other tips you might think i need to do, as far as say power supply issues, fat wires, capacitors, any thing helpful or useful to an enthusiast, straight from a veteran's mouth. i know i need to have high output voltage too.
thanks for your time

Hi there are 2 things I need help about :
1. I am using an IR led and receiver to detect obstacles
I am getting 800mv of voltage across the receiver ir diode when the transmitter is brought near it.
I tried connecting the receiver across power and could read +5v when I bring the transmitter near to the receiver& it goes to zero when I block the transmitter.
When I try to connect it to p1.0 of the atmel 89c51 microcontroller it doesnt seem to read the pin high
when I direcrly connect the +5v to pin p1.0 it reads high
2. When I connect a high pin p1.1 to a led it glows
but when I connect the high pin to another pin p1.0 it doesnt read it high.
So I thought the current was not enough so tried connecting to bc547 npn transistor base to high pin or microcontroller(or ir receiver ) collector to +5v source and emitter to pin p1.0 but it doesnt read it high.
I tried connecting 10k resistor between base and the input it doesnt work
Any one knows asolution for thi

1. Explain how electrical can be induced?
2. Where do electrons come from in a electrical current?
3. What are some things that can affect resistance in a wire?
4. How can a magnetic field be induced?
5. How can a magnetic field be destroyed?
6. How can voltage be created in a wire that comes near a magnet?
7. What are three ways to increase the power of an electromagnet?
Thats all of my questions that i don't understand so could you please help me answer them. Thank you so much

i got a new pioneer car stereo and little did i know the Sub preamp output voltage was 4 volts. thats 1.8volts MORE than my previous 2.2volt outputs on my old radio. since i didnt know that i left my gain up on my amp when i swapped out radios and i blew my subs, now i need your help deciding on a new sub.
im sick of my window breaking bass, i want more clear and accurate bass now.
-i think it would be best if i got a 12" sub, so it kicks, yet is still clear and accurate. i liked the sound of my old vented box, so ill probably get another one. i want a high peak wattage, so it wont be so vulnerable to blowing. and my budget is around 100-200 or 250ish. heres my current setup incase you need to know what i have:
Amp-- Blaupunkt PCA1350 600watt mono
Stereo--Pioneer Premier DEH-P600UB
I also have a 1farad rockford capictor and i run 4 gauge wires for all power and grounds.
what do you think of these websites?(cheap stuff)

I know that the motor has KV and the maximum A
for ex: I have one :
D2830-1300kv
-Rpm(Kv): 1300 Rpm/V
-Max Currect: 28A
-Max Eff: 98%
-Total Length: 50mm (Motor and Shaft)
-Motor Body Diameter: 27.9mm
-Shaft Diameter: 2.96mm(Front)
-Shaft Length: 18.6mm
-Recommended Input Voltage: 6 - 18 Volt
However,
there's another also is 1300kv
300XT Brushless Motor 1300 RPM
Battery Pack 2-3 Lithium polymer cells
Current 4 Amps continuous
KV 1300 rpm per Volt
Prop (direct drive) 7?x 4?to 8?x 6?br> Body Diameter 25.6mm.
Body Length 17.7mm.
Weight 26g
Shaft 3.0mm
SMC-M-APMBL301
both of them are 1300kv
however, how I know which one is more powerful
If I give the same ESC and same battery, which one is more powerful?
Can I read the power from other info: for ex: "D2830"

Okay, I need a little help with decisions about battery packs. I am building a laptop FROM SCRATCH (seriously, DIY kind of scratch) with a VIA Pico-ITX motherboard. I need to build a battery pack to power it. It has low power consumption, so I'm thinking of a Ni-MH battery pack. I am using the PicoPSU 80, which requires 12V input. I can get regulators, and I need to know how clean/exact the 12V input has to be from the battery pack. I want to save energy though, so if the battery pack must be higher than 12V and regulated, I want it to be less excessive so there is less waste. I need about 30W peak output and my current design is 4 packs of 10 1.2V AA size batteries in parallel. I also need to know what voltage the adapter should output in order to charge the batteries. I would like to not run it through regulators if I can. What should my setup be?
Please answer if you truly know, because a screw-up would be harmful to the device.

My Motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-8I775PE Pro
Recently, i did a case swap. I go to turn on my computer in the new case and it does nothing. It just turns on and sits there - no video, no booting, nothing! All that is on is the Power Light and the CD drive checks for a disc a few times. The floppy light is constantly on and the computer just sits there blankly doing nothing, no beeps, no POST.
I have tried both a Geforce 6200 and my current 7300GT, also i have erased CMOS and tried VGA through my PCI card.
I have all power connected. I have a feeling that this was due to some type of static discharge because i have read that static electricity can be either very high voltage - too high for the CPU or any component or very low.
Someone please help, im certain it is a component issue with the CPU/Mobo, because the excact same thing happened to me when i scratched a Celeron 300A - nothing.
I've also tried booting from my mobo disc. Also, ive swapped the RAM around - nothing.
